After Niels, Lily & I met up with Eva we dropped off our luggage at the apartment and then immediately headed out to grab some dinner.

Lily & Eva wanted to take us to a "genuine" German restaurant. So we headed to a pub about three blocks from the apartment.into a restaurant that I can only explain as being the most stereotypical German experience of the whole trip.  It was dark and smokey and we got the dirtiest looks from those already there.

Our waiter was so unbelievable rude. It took Lily about three times to get his attention and then when she did it was as if we were bothering him. Yet he seemed to have no problem serving the enormous party that was sitting behind Lily & Eva.

Both Lily & Eva apologized for how rude Germans are and according to them it's a huge problem.

But! The food was really really good. I had two glasses of yummy beer and some bratwurst and potato salad. There was so much potato salad that it would have served two more people. We all ate until our hearts content and headed back to Eva's.

When we got back some of Eva's friends (Julia, Julia & Stephan) were over hanging out with her roomate, Bartosh. So, Niels & I spent the evening hanging out with them, talking drinking, laughing. Having a really really great time. I'm sorry i didn't take any photos, but I didn't want to ruin the flow of things.

The next morning (when this photo was taken) Eva, Niels and I had a relaxing breakfast and prepared to catch the train to Cologne.
